8 December 2009:

Weavers of Hope: Pictures and stories of women who create solidarity networks for a better world.

A Good Shepherd International Foundation Christmas Exhibition and Sale hosted by the Associazione Tra le Volte at Piazza di Porta San Giovanni, 10, in Rome (link: www.tralevolte.org).

Join us in a generous and warm atmosphere to share and learn more about the Good Shepherd projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America, and to satisfy your hunger and thirst, tasting our partners’ fair-trade snacks and drinks. Bring your friends, your family, your children: you are all welcome from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm to celebrate our successful projects that help women and children come out of poverty.

Come and support these women with traumatizing and painful backgrounds who chose to fight against poverty by handcrafting products for sale at the same time expressing their artistic talents. Encourage them to struggle everyday for economic justice and independence through a dignified work and fill them with hope to keep on aiming at a better future.

Find original gifts for those you love by contributing to the improvement of hundreds of poor women’s lives. You can buy toys, clothes and accessories, home decor, bags and purses, cards and many other gifts, coming from Madagascar, Kenya, Peru, Thailand, Philippines, India, Ecuador, Sri Lanka and El Salvador…All the products are handcrafted and the sale’s income will be fully reinvested in these women’s potential.
